If you have a supermarket around the corner from where you live, you can call yourself lucky and your monthly savings will be immense.

Do not fall into the trap of the so called convenient stores. Convenience has its price. If you run 7 or 11 times a day to one of these little bandits, your laziness will cost you about 10 to 20 thousand NT$ per month.

Getting your shoppings home is a little exhausting especially if you do not have a car. There are, however, ways to deal with that. First, you could convert your suitcase into a shopping cart. This will fit huge amounts of groceries. Put the heavy things to the bottom or better close to the wheels and the delicate food to the other side.
